Carriage & Wagon

The Carriage & Wagon Team work on the Railway’s carriages and wagons, self-explanatory really!

Chattenden & Upnor Railway Coach No.204 is still undergoing a complete rebuild and work is always required to maintain the operational fleet.

They are based at Kemsley Down and work every Wednesday and some Saturdays/Sundays – email SaturdayGang@sklr.net for more information or to volunteer to help the gang.

Work is progressing on Coach 204 – the seats have been reinstated work is progressing on preparing for the new doors. This coach will be enclosed but the windows have not yet been added. January 2024.

The sides and seat planking have been removed from Coach 647. January 2024.
