Fares & Tickets

2025 tickets

These are the ordinary fares that apply during the Season – (special event fares apply for the Railway 200 Steam & Beer Music Festival and Santa Specials). The majority of fares will be available from the ticket office at Sittingbourne Viaduct. There will be some events that require online booking, such as the Experiences or Santa Specials in December – see the event pages for more information.

The time shown in the timetable is the departure time from Sittingbourne Viaduct station so please arrive at the station about 15 minutes earlier to buy your tickets.

Turn-up-and-go fares

A single ticket will get you from Sittingbourne Viaduct station to Kemsley Down but you will have to walk back via Milton Creek Country Park/Saxon Shore Way or walk to Swale station and catch a Southeastern train from there (at extra cost). Single tickets will not be available on event days.

A return ticket will enable you to go to Kemsley Down and back.

A rover ticket allows you to catch as many trains as you want on that day.

Sittingbourne & Kemsley Light Railway Members get free travel on the trains so if you think you may visit several times a year, membership could be a cheaper option for you – find out more information here. For some premium events (where the Railway has to pay to hold the event) adult members will pay £2 to attend and child family members £1.
