Gala

The Railway will be holding its annual End of Season Gala Weekend on Saturday 28 & 29th September. There will be regular trains pulled by steam and diesel locomotives.

The Garden Railway will also be holding a Gala Weekend, including the attendance of Bowaters Models, who make garden railway scale models of our locomotives, carriages and wagons.

There will also be a variety of exhibits on display (some different each day) too, such as steam traction engines, fire engines etc.

Timetable for both days

Trains from Sittingbourne Viaduct station depart at 11am, 11.15am, 11.55am, 12.40pm, 1.25pm, 2.05pm, 2.50pm, 3.35pm, 4.15pm and 5pm.

Trains from Kemsley Down station depart at 11.30am, 12.15pm, 12.55pm, 1.40pm, 2.25pm, 3.05pm, 3.50pm, 4.35pm, 5.15pm and 5.55pm.

There will be two trains of coaches – Chattenden & Upnor Railway (Train 1) and a Bowaters mixed freight and passenger train (Train 2).

Trains will be hauled by steam locomotive ‘Premier’ or diesel locomotives ‘Victor’ and ‘Barton Hall’.

• Infants aged under 3 travel free
• £7 for senior citizens
• £22 for families (2 adults and 4 children)
• Other fares, such as rover tickets, are also available

Tickets can be pre-purchased through TicketSource but this does not guarantee you a seat, we will endeavour to board you on the next available train.
